City of Buffalo Community Survey
WHAT IS THIS SURVEY ABOUT? The City of Buffalo, in collaboration with the Southwest Missouri Council of Governments (SMCOG), is updating its comprehensive plan, last revised in 2018. This Plan is an official guide to help shape Buffalo’s future by setting a shared vision and recommendations for land use, development, and community growth. A comprehensive plan also opens up new funding opportunities, highlighting community needs that can attract grants and resources to improve essential services and facilities.
WHO SHOULD COMPLETE THIS SURVEY? We invite anyone connected to the City of Buffalo—whether you are a resident, student, property owner, stakeholder, developer, business owner, or commuter—to participate. If you’re part of our community in any way, your input is valuable!
WHY PARTICIPATE? Your responses will help define Buffalo’s path forward. The priorities and insights gathered from this survey will be shared with the Comprehensive Planning Committee to set the city’s goals, objectives, and future development patterns. Your feedback will directly influence land use and policy decisions for the next 20 years.
CONFIDENTIALITY AND TIME COMMITMENT This survey takes about 15-25 minutes to complete and will close on April 13, 2025. Rest assured, all responses are confidential and will not be used to identify individuals.
